It's so difficult to take the subway to work after a week in FL with a car. Oh, a car. A car! It's not practical here and parking would be a bitch but still...a car. So I took a cab to work this morning. It's a rare treat and today it was vital for my mental health.

kittenfishlambs with questions about Dark Chocolate and White Chocolate. Is it long? Is there good sex? Does it have a happy ending? I have no plans tonight so I want a solid Harry/Snape fic to enjoy over a glass of wine.
More news about potential terror threats. Limos. Helicopters. Old news. New news. I understand the government's desire to keep us informed about these details but unless there's a plan to prevent the attacks or a list of things we can do to make ourselves safer, I don't want to know. The information's just floating out there. I need action items, preferably ones I can personally employ, to decrease the likelihood of falling prey to these nut jobs. Though, I wouldn't be surprised if the government's goal is to raise the level of fear to a degree where we're willing to accept any measures they propose to keep us safe. That's probably the scariest thing of all. Get us worked up enough and we'll gladly give up our civil liberties on behalf of homeland security. What a disaster.
