Some guy named Jim stopped me on the street this evening and convinced me to write a check, right there on the spot, to the DNC Grassroots campaign. He was hot and he wants to beat Bush. That was really all I needed to turn over some funds. I don't know about the rest of the country, by these "Beat Bush" DNC volunteers are all over NYC.
Tonight was Bartlett's debate against Governor Ritchie. Sometimes I wish we could see the entire thing. I mean, I know there really wasn't any more than what they showed us but we're supposed to think there was more and it worked because I want to see it. Also. The dynamic between Jed and Leo is one of my favorites. Ever. Probably even more than Josh and Sam. They have such deep, true, important feelings for each other. I almost feel like reading Jed/Leo fic sullies it. Almost but not enough to actually stop.
The path of the hurricane is headed right for our corporate office building in FL. They expect to be closed on Friday and most people will be out tomorrow, as well, because they live in areas that are being evacuated. We're considering moving our server to Atlanta tomorrow morning and have all sorts of emergency plans in place because magazines are timely suckers. The scurrying is amusing but the real fear for people's homes and safety isn't.
I'm anxiously awaiting Chris on Cribs. He's going to entertain us madly. It's Chris.
