** I got on the obscenely long taxi line at JFK and, just as I was nearing the front, some woman jumped in front of everyone on line and tried to get in a cab. You'd think she'd threatened our first born. We went nuts. There was such a riot that the taxi guys made the woman get out of the cab and walk to the back of the line. As it should be.

** So obviously I'm home. I've mentioned I hate to fly but I'm going to say it again. I hate to fly. I think the stress of the entire experience takes years off my life. My world would be so much easier if I could apparate.

** This is a question for anyone who lives in a farming area. What's with the circles? Whenever I fly over the midwest I see tons of farms with circular patterns. I assume it works better than squares but why?

** Very happy for Joey. Obviously it was coming but now it's here and I wish them well.

** I have to admit that I got sucked into olympic_slash and some other communities of the same vein. icebun and evil_man are no help with their fic and recs. There's just something about those swimmers.

** loveisimmortal and/or patchworkdragon...have either of you been to Hamburger Mary's on 3rd and University? It's one of my favorite restaurants out your way. I used to live just down the block and a highlight of every trip to San Diego is the Big Kahuna Garden Burger on Hawaiian sweet bread.

** It feels like forever since I read fic. On the menu for tonight are this and this. Harry/Remus and Harry/Ron/Hermione. Mmmmmm.
