** A while back, someone in an Orlando community offered to send out copies of The Calcium Kid and mine was waiting for me at the office when I got in today. Direct from Iceland. People are impossibly generous.

** I missed Desperate Housewives because it's on against Jack & Bobby and I'm already committed to the latter. I'm torn, though. It's been a long time since I've had a television scheduling conflict. I did manage to catch Boston Legal. It's okay. I think I have problems watching William Shatner as any character other than Kirk. I mean, he's Kirk. That's it. (And I'm sure he'd hate to hear me say that.)

** Some HP recs. I finally had a chance to read this weekend.

Through a Shattered Mirror by Rushlight. Harry/Snape/Draco. When Harry falls into the hands of the Death Eaters, he learns that life isn't as black-and-white as he'd once thought it to be. Warnings are here. Give this one a chance. Rushlight does an excellent job getting into Harry's head as he tries to accept his situation and it's a portrait of Snape that I enjoy very much and can easily believe.

Cordelictus by Fabula Rasa. Sirius/Snape. A bond is created, with unintended and unforeseen consequences, and the price may be too high. It starts with established Sirius/Snape but we're treated to the back story which is as rich as the present. (Ignore Sirius' references to James Potter as "Jamie" and the few typos. It's worth it.)

The Pandora Complex by Nimori. Harry/Snape. Some boxes, once opened, are impossible to shut. Snape discovers fanfic. I usually stay away from humor/farce but this is quite funny.

** I heard Lindsey Lohan's new song, "Rumors." It's overproduced and unoriginal. Not that I'm surprised.
