Without a doubt,
stargems is going to suck me back into the vortex known as General Hospital. Stargems and Sonny if I want to be specific about where the blame lies. (Cel...I found the clip with Alexis and Sonny but I can't find the one with Jason and Sonny. Help! Heeeeelp! And did you hear that Maurice Benard and his wife are on Oprah on Wednesday? You going to tape it? If you are, want to send it to me? *smiles innocently*)
I finally had time to read Sunrises by Juliatheyounger. Harry/Snape. Long. I really love this characterization of Snape. He's a bit broken but he's also fairly self aware and, even as we see him change, he stays true to my image of him.
I also recommend But Not Forgotten by Kennahijja. Harry/Snape. Short. Harry finally masters Legilimency and ends up wishing he hadn't. Ambiguous consent. This is a disturbing look at whatreally happened could have happened when Harry looked in Snape's pensieve. A completely different Snape from the one in "Sunrises" but equally believable in this context. In fact, I think the entire story is so disturbing because it's so believable.
Home update...I bought dishes and a piece of art yesterday. Today I bought a bedroom set and a dining table. I still have a long way to go but I'm making some serious progress. It looks like the couch will be most difficult since I'm so specific about what I want.
Tonight is my development's Thanksgiving potluck. I'm bringing green bean casserole and I'm already behind schedule so I should get up and get ready. I hope there are some young people there tonight. I won't last more than 15 minutes at an event full of retirees.
And happy birthday to
