Allison Janney is on Ellen today and I didn't realize until this morning. My VCR's not working correctly so I left a voicemail for my mother begging her to tape it for me if she's home. If anyone happens to watch the show and can pop in a tape for me, I'll be absurdly grateful.
Fortunately, I planned in advance for today's Oprah and some friends from work are taping the show. The topic is celebrities and mental illness and Maurice Benard is a guest. I really admire how open he is about his struggles and I'm very intersted to hear what his wife has to say.

madamshazam was vacationing in Ft. Myers Beach last weekend and we got together on Saturday night. Good food, great company, and we may see each other for Duran Duran in February. (gjstruthseeker...we went to my favorite little sushi spot. You really have to make it down here sometime in the near future. ;) )
Speaking of Ft. Myers, the Red Sox have spring training in these parts. Bah. There's a week long Red Sox celebration down here which is a unique form of torture. The Red Sox are mentioned every morning on the local news. It makes me twitch a bit.
Toby Keith's new album is out today. Here's the thing. I love his music. He's one of my favorites. But I really don't like him. I want his album but I can't imagine supporting the guy. (Though it certainly doesn't stop me from singing along on the radio.)
Thanks to everyone who helped out with my computer display problem yesterday. The fix was exactly what you all suggested.
And I bought my car! I named her CJ, I can't imagine ever driving with the top up, and I'll have pictures later.
