There was so much in HBP to talk about but, since finishing, all I can think about is Snape and the possibilities for the Harry/Snape ship post HBP.
The relationship was always built on animosity. Even when Snape was saving Harry's life, it was never about Snape liking Harry. For me, the allure of the pairing has always been the possibility of Snape and Harry getting beyond their past (and Snape & James' past) to find common ground. Now I feel that way even more. Harry is a teenager and he has one perspective on most of what he sees. He's growing but he's still not ready to understand the nuance and true sacrifice in Snape's actions if we are to believe that everything Snape's done is with the defeat of Voldemort in mind. But I believe, before the end, he'll get there and I can't wait to see it happen.
The pairing was never easy but it's alive and thriving and richer than ever.
