The last few days of my trip to London were fantastic. On Wednesday night, my UK colleagues took us to see a show, The Genius of Ray Charles, and then we went out for supper at Langan's. It was another late night but fortunately, fortunately, fortunately our Thursday meetings didn't start until 10am and they were in London so we were able to sleep in a bit. The best part of Thursday was lunch at the OXO building. We passed it on our double decker bus tour on Sunday but that didn't do justice to the view of London from the roof top restaurant. On Thursday evening, my clients and I did some store visit on Oxford Street and then hit a pub for fish & chips and minty mushy peas. I really dig minty mushy peas. We had a short day on Friday and the clients were off to Heathrow but I planned an extra night so I could visit with my friend who's studying at LSE. He lives in a flat just west of Notting Hill and he took me out to his his LSE end of year party. Um. These kids are smart. Super geeky social science type smart. My friend fits right in. It was odd to be without my clients after a week at their side but we hit a few bars in SoHo and I got a taste of London night life. If only the British fancied air conditioning a bit more I'd be all set to move. :)
