Today was this day where shit hit the fan but I managed it and I had coffee and the LOA manager is back (!!!) and I stopped at a greasy Chinese dive for shrimp lo mein and vegetables with tofu which hit the spot in ways I can't adequately describe. In fact, I think I'll have more.
Far distant from any of the pleasures noted above...Jeb Bush is a fuckwit. And I quote, "I'm gonna have a no criticize zone as we focus on recovery and if anyone wants to blame anybody blame me. This is my responsibility and we are doing a good job." Okaaaaay. So, to spare his even more idiotic brother the shame of another potential FEMA fuck up we should place the blame on Jeb. Mighty big of little brother to step up that way. I'm sure GW appreciates the support.

anderson_daily is a full on fandom with wank and BNFs and I shouldn't be surprised but I truly underestimated the intensity of news anchor junkies. (For the record, I start my day with Carol Costello and Chad Myers on CNN's Daybreak and I'm a loyal to my morning show.)
The CSI episode on Spike right now is Nesting Dolls and, wow, I love Gil in this episode. First there's his glee at Catherine's tar covered bodies. "Hey! They told me you dug up two bodies cover in tar!?!?" "I'm off the clock. I came out early for this." Not to mention the look on his face when the extract the body and the skull splits. "Huh. Oh, boy. I gotta get my shift started. Good luck with the case." And then - then - Grissom's comforting and supportive and there for Sara in such a Grissom-like way which pings all sorts of buttons for me. He's super.
Anyway, I was driving to work yesterday around lunch time and got a whif of hamburger from a local restaurant. For the first time in the 9 years since I stopped eating meat I was actually tempted by the smell. Not enough to actually eat it, mind you, but it still got me thinking about my motivations for not eating meat and whether I imagine I'll ever start eating it again. So I poll.
