I liked how they recapped last week with the team at the station/lab rather than "previously on CSI" scenes.

EEEEEEEEE! Sophia and Gil! She's so broken and she needs Gil! She thinks she shot Bell and went to Gil for support. Oh, but fucking Sara. Not like Gil has any idea what to do in the situation and I know he can read Sara and her motives but, shit, Sophia trusts Grissom and Sara simply can't stand that they're friends or whatever it is she thinks they are.

Greg about Hodges: Doesn't he bug you?
Grissom: No more so than anyone else around here.
He does bug me but he also entertains me more and more with each passing episode.

Brass to Grissom: Look, don't make this some intellectual exercise for your own personal amusement, all right?

Hodges: Just for the record, I've never really been good at sports.
Grissom: Sara?
Sara: Yeah.

Ecklie can actually be human. Occasionally. But Nick's mustache is still horrid.

Poor Sophia is positively tormented by this. I can't even imagine. And, yet, she's still so much strong.

Wow. So it's either Brass or Sophia. And even without ballistics, Grissom's not going to let it go. Not that I'm surprised. The way they're working this is really, really cool. But, oh, Brass.

Man. I give Grissom so much credit for going and telling Brass personally like that. But Brass. He's a good man.

I love Gil because he can talk to people who don't understand forensic science without talking down to people. And he pulled the God card? Gil? People need to stop saying he's bad with people. He's not bad with people. He's bad with intimacy. They're two very different things.

Oh, god. Brass has honor. I'm fucking crying here. Sobbing. Brass and the widow. God.

That was a hell of an episode.

Does anyone know if there's decent Gil/Sophia fic floating around?

I've had two great days at work. I've invested time in employee development and training over the past few months and I see it paying off. Somewhat related, today I invited my boss, our SVP/Marketing, to come speak at my department meeting and invited both of our Corporate EVPs to attend meetings in December to talk about 2006 initiatives. I also have an associate account manager who just accepted an internal management position in another department. I hate to lose him but he's fantastic and I'm absolutely delighted to see him move forward. There were also some important client meetings on Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning that went even better than expected and I still feel the buzz. I'm just superstitious enough that writing this out makes me twitchy but it's good to be daring every now and then. *g*

Likely of interest only to me, my cousin and his girlfriend passed the bar. He's the youngest of the bunch on my mom's side and I'm so proud of him. Of course, he's also got the biggest ego of the bunch which means we're never going to hear the end of it on Thanksgiving. I suppose he's earned it. This time. ;)

And I'm half way through season three of Oz. I owned season one for a long, long time before I made my way through the entire season and, right now, I can't imagine why. I'm hooked! I'm so tempted to download Beecher/Keller clips but I'm forcing myself to do this in order. The payoff will be sweeter. I do need to start buying the rest of the seasons on ebay rather than bn.com, though.

I wish I was among the many seeing GoF at midnight but, alas, Naples, FL does not have a midnight showing. Instead it's 7pm tomorrow. Perhaps I'll have to sport the Department of Magical Law Enforcement medallion during the day.
