Critical Mass (SGA - 02x13)

Good episode. There was a cohesiveness to it. The scenes with the SGC threw me at the beginning and it was interesting to watch the opening bit because Atlantis was so passive in the situation but, overall, it worked for me. And thank god Ronon was there so they'd have a reason to explain the Goa'uld to the SG-1 virgins.

I loved the opening with pissy Radek – particularly when he's pissy about going to a planet full of children because RODNEY CAN'T BE WITHIN 100 YARDS OF THEM. And the McShep snaps! They're so in sync.

Cadman! Duet aftermath! I love seeing consistency between episodes particularly when it involves torturing McKay.

Have you ever tried to have a conversation using Teyla's cadence and no contractions? I have no idea how Rachel Luttrell acts the part. It would drive me mad.

The Twilight Bark vs. The beacons of Gondor! Ahahahahaha! Very funny moment.

So, Kavanaugh sucks. We know it. They know it. He was the perfect scapegoat because I can't imagine many people would care if he did do it and was gone for good. Of course, we knew he didn't and there was a lesson. Mmmmmm. Lessons. It made for interesting Elizabeth, though. I hope her guilt doesn't stop her from making him pay for talking to her like that during his questioning.

Rodney's so expressive. I love it. And Sheppard's so hot in a black t-shirt. I love that, too.

I liked seeing Teyla vulnerable even if it was only for a moment. Layers are good.

Has anyone else noticed that sometimes Sheppard's hair is a little too styled?

Why would Weir cut off her only communication with Earth? That seems like an odd decision so early in the game. I would have expected her to wait it out particularly because they were able to get updates and intel from Earth. (Plot device. Yes, yes, I know.)

McKay: Like a damn.
Sheppard: No, it's not like a damn. It's more like a...a – actually, yes, it's like a damn.
Cut to that night...
Sheppard: I told you it's like a damn.
I really love them.

Teyla's song? I'm still laughing. Zelenka with the face paint? I'll be laughing for the rest of the week.

So, I'm not in Cincinnati. Short story: My flight leaving Florida was arriving in Charlotte after the last flight to Cincinnati left for the night and there was no other (reasonable) way to get me to OH today.
