• I really enjoyed this episode. Seeing it unfold from someone else's perspective was something I often enjoyed on Star Trek (e.g. "Lower Decks") and "Michael" unfolded so well. It was dark and morally ambiguous – not the first time we've seen that from the Atlantis gang but this took it to a whole new level. I was wondering how the Wraith would eventually learn that Atlantis wasn't destroyed and it's so much worse that it happened because they took this risk with the retrovirus.

  • I was wildly disappointed by the end to the "Grave Danger" arch. After all that, they tied it up in a clean little package. I hope we still see more of Nick's reaction. I know there have been bits and pieces but I was hoping for an emotionally satisfying end and that was not it.

That said (and Grissom's emotional detachment aside), I still love Gil Grissom more than anyone should love a tv character. Threesomes, huh? I have no doubt he knows from experience. It's always the quiet, private types.

  • Is there any doubt that this was written after Katrina? It's just so typical West Wing to do that particularly with the President's take charge attitude and the comments about all levels of government working together.

The crisis would have been totally lame if not for the politics added by the campaign.

Related but unaddressed - what's the deal with Will and Kate?

I didn't expect an 8th season but I still felt a pang when I read that NBC Cancels 'West Wing' After 7 Seasons.

  • [livejournal.com profile] charlidos posted a translation of a French magazine's interview with Joe Flanagan. He speaks fluent French! Lord help me.

  • Coming home to Sally is such a highlight of my day. She's like a little limpet when I've been away. I love my cat. A lot.

  • I picked up the February 06 issue of GQ at the airport today.
