I'm ashamed to admit that it took until 9:41pm for me to figure out what was going on with the hallucinations. Ashamed. At that point, my guess was that, not only was it all a hallucination, but the season would end with House bleeding out on the floor by the whiteboard where we left him at the beginning of the episode. I had a millisecond of doubt when he killed the PotW but ultimately? I R SMRT. (Except, of course, for the fact that I should have figured it out 10 minutes in when they wheeled the killer into the ICU and House got out of bed.)
It was good, though. Goooooooooooood. Yes, it's good because it's a formulaic show that stands out when it breaks formula but I liked it.
The PotW was the most disgusting patient of the week we've seen yet. "One eye, one ball, and a stapled on face." The tongue was gross enough but the exploding eyeball was HORRIFYING.
Hugh Laurie is incredible. He needs to let go of the self doubt.
