• I moved into my house today! I have a long weekend of unpacking ahead of me and poor Sally's more confused than ever but it's all so exciting!
  
  
• Also exciting is Sci-Fi Friday! It's the first time I'm watching a first run episode of SG-1 as it airs. Okay...SGA? Really fucking cool. I love what they've done with the replicators over time and this is just as awesome because it's the replicators but not. They're ancienty replicators. How is it, though, that they NEVER learn. You can't take the replicator with you! Read SG-1's mission reports. It will always go bad. Loved this episode.
  
  Other great things:
  * John's dream sequence thing. AHHHH! The escape! And his resolve before he GAVE HIS LIFE FOR ATLANTIS!
  * John/Rodney bickering. It will never get old.
  * Ronon and his gun. Hot damn.
  * Rodney running after David Ogden Stires to get his ZPM.

  Another week of SG-1 without Daniel and Jack's not!cabin but without Jack and Daniel. Bah! That storm would have been the perfect set up for first time J/D if only they were there instead of Landry and Mitchell. But Mitchell's car was HOT. Very hot. (Much hotter than Landry's duck call.) That one shot of him exiting the car was the clear highlight of the episode. Well, that and the stare down between Teal'c and Sam at the end. Btw, I'm officially convinced that Beau Bridges was hired as a simple means to take the heat off Michael Shanks' eyebrows.

I only take issue with her comments regarding episodes that are about "acting then, and goes back to the stories and characters" because, holy crap, "Sateda" was nothing if not about the acting and the characters and the story. • Watch a refresher before season three of Battlestar Galactica begins Friday, Oct. 6, at 9/8C. SCI FI is presenting a story-recap special called "Battlestar Galactica: The Story So Far." The one-hour show is narrated by Laura Roslin (Mary McDonnell), the Secretary of Education turned President turned resistance leader on Cylon-occupied New Caprica. Learn about humanity's costly struggle to survive against its deadliest enemy. This may be a great opportunity to catch up if you're interested in watching s3 but don't have to to make it through all of s1 and s2 in advance!
