In other news, I've come and gone and I'm back on the phone with Yahoo travel confirming that I do, in fact, have a refund from Spirit Air on the Stargate Con trip so I can go ahead and book a more expensive flight on Northwest. Good times. Really, though? It all comes down to Shanks and Flanigan.
So, back in the day, I was very involved with my college sorority. I haven't volunteered for about 3 years but the University of Michigan has a great chapter and I'm ready to get involved again. Tonight was my first meeting and I'm officially the recruitment advisor. U of M has a massive Greek system so I can pretty much kiss September goodbye but I do love it once I dive in and the other advisors are my age which means it's a great way to meet people in the area. (Though I may need someone to remind me of that come September 8th.)
