• Stargate SG-1 movies coming to DVD! I'm glad to know, at the very least, that the stories will be tied up. (Perhaps Daniel will leave the SGC for a young retail merchant in Michigan. *g*)

• DVD's I'm desperate for but will not buy until I only own one home include: House (s2), BSG (s2.5) and SG-1 (s9). My self control is a thing of wonder.
  
  
• I'm sure I'm not the only one who would look at spam labeled "HP scandal lifted veil" and think OotP rather than tech scandal.

  The good news is that my mother is done with her final round of radiation. The bad news is that the genetic counselor confirmed that she does have the gene mutation that causes breast and ovarian cancer. The hysterectomy for the uterine cancer means ovarian cancer is a non-issue but her oncologist believes she has an 85- 90% change of a recurrence of breast cancer. To avoid that eventuality, she has an appointment on Monday to discuss a radical double mastectomy.
  
  The other bad news in the scenario is that my sister and I have a 50% chance of carrying the gene, as well. Gene carriers have up to an 85% change of breast cancer and a 60% change of ovarian cancer. Very scary numbers there. I'm making an appointment with a genetic counselor up here and trying not to worry until I know for sure. Even if I do find out I have the gene, all I can do is schedule more frequent and aggressive screening for both cancers. So that's a downer.
  
  And I'm in month four of dual home ownership. My realtor tells me to be patient but, in the meantime, I'm paying two mortgages and the bridge loan on the equity on the FL place. I'm fine for a while longer but the stress and worry of eventually not being able to pay two mortgages is weighing on me. Does anyone want to buy a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom townhouse/coach home in Naples, FL?
