Here's a confession. I am a SHAMELESS sucker for the final dance scene in Flashdance. I've never even seen the full movie but I will stop what I'm doing, whenever, wherever, to watch that last dance sequence. A good portion of dancing is adequate at best and the doubles are appallingly evident (especially that dude spinning on the floor) but I can't get enough of Jennifer Beals' triumph (!!) as she wins over the judges.

So, I'm back from the cruise. It was fantastic. The weather was great. I love my family (even my step-brother who missed his fight to FL and almost missed the cruise and then forgot to bring his return flight information with him which is all only the icing on the cake where he's concerned). But I digress.

I was seated in first class on today's flight and, once I finished reading Close Only Counts in Horseshoes and Hand Grenades, ended up talking to a man returning home from a brief Florida vacation. Early 40's, casually but well dressed, attractive, interesting, and adventurous. We spent an hour and a half talking mostly about travel - where we've been and where we want to go - and then separated when we landed. I was home and he had a connection to northern Michigan. I popped into the women's room after we said goodbye thinking about how unfortunate it was that we didn't exchange information. In a movie, I thought, he'd be waiting for me outside of the restroom but, as it's life and not a movie, he wasn't there. I kept my eye out for him as I walked toward baggage claim thinking I'd be bold and approach him again if I saw him waiting for his next flight but, alas, no luck. That's because, as I approached the escalator for baggage claim, I found him waiting for me. *grin* There was fumbling with paper and pencils as no business cards were on hand but he now has my e-mail address and I have my perfect ending. (Or maybe it's not an ending at all. I really would like to see him again.)

I'm still decompressing and will most likely spend New Year's Eve on my couch catching up on Yuletide fic. Did I miss a new SGA episode while I was gone?
