• I finally caught up on SG-1 (*is sad*) and have things to say about "Unending".
  Series finales are tough because there's so much to live up to. ST:TNG worked for me if only for the final scene around the poker table and West Wing worked for me because it really felt like the end. SG-1 still isn't quite the same without Jack so this didn't feel so much like an end, really. There's also the open Ori storyline and the movies coming so the show isn't quite tied up. It was gimmicky and I didn't love it but A for effort all around. I like that Teal'c still has the memories of their time on the ship. I loved the Christmas scene. Most of it was tremendously angsty, though, and I wasn't expecting to ache as a result of the plot. I thought the only aching would come from knowing it was the end.
  
  What I really need to talk about is the Daniel/Vala bit. His tirade leading up to it all seemed somewhat OOC. I can't see Daniel going off like that. But I suppose, if he had genuine feelings for Vala and thought she was playing games with him, it's possible he'd lose it. None of that matters, though, because what came next made up for it.
  
  Daniel realizes Vala is unusually quiet and the first alarm bells trip.
  
  
  
  Now he's really concerned. Cue trademark Daniel furrows.
  
  
  
  His eyes!
  
  
  And his hand on her face. *sigh*
  
  
  
  The lean.
  
  
  
  SO JEALOUS OMG
  
  
  
  This is the best, though. It's possible that this scene here, "You better not be messin' with me" is Daniel as the most relaxed and joyful we've seen in the entire series. *loves*
  
  
  
  
  I *heart* Daniel Jackson.
  
  
• I never have good dreams but, last night, I had a dream that I was at a dinner party with Grace Park, Edward James Olmos, and Mary McDonnell and I spent the entire time fawning over MMD. Even in my dream it was embarrassing. Not quite related to anything but the fawning, here's a picture of EJO and MMD at the BSG finale screening. • There's a crazy thread over at house_cuddy that started when someone posted a vid that clearly stole clips from someone else's vids. There's anger and hurt feelings but what no one seems to realize (or acknowledge) is that the original batshit crazy poster/vid maker is clearly nothing more than a whore of a troll.
  
  
• Sally always seems to like my bed best when I'm changing the sheets. (I like her best all the time.) Click for larger versions.
  
  
  
  
  
• This last bit is probably only exciting to me but I finally bought a table for my entry way. The open space was driving me bonkers.
