I had a big negotiation meeting today and it went well! I invited my boss to come for support, even though she actually makes me more nervous, and even that didn't throw me! I've really needed some work mojo.
Before the follow-up dinner I picked up my Bonnie and Clyde 2 disc ultimate collectors edition DVD set!! It comes with the 2 DVDs, a hard cover book with photos from the film & set and a soft cover press book with media from the original release. I AM THE HAPPIEST FANGIRL IN THE WORLD TONIGHT.
There's also a mail in form for a free Bonnie and Clyde movie poster but it says that "offer is not open to affiliated...retailers." My receipt says "employee" but I'm going to try anyway. I do not want to be denied my movie poster.
In a move that stunned me, I picked up The Ultimate Vegetarian Cookbook, too. It's my first cookbook but I'm kind of inspired to cook more and this cook book gives both the time to make the meal and the nutritional value. Let's check back in 2 weeks to see if I still have a kitchen.
What should I call you? Saturn. Or J. J works, too.
Where do you live? Ann Arbor, Michigan formerly of Naples, FL formerly of NY, NY formerly of San Diego, CA formerly of Washington, DC but originally from Long Island, NY.
What do you do with your time? I work. A lot. I also read an embarrassing amount of fanfic. See? I read a fair amount. These days, when it's not fanfic, it's old school sci-fi that I missed when I was a kid, science non-fiction, and other random books that come recommended around my office. I spend time in Seedy Hotel Rooms at Creation Cons! I'm finally engaging in all of the cool stuff going on at UM. I date. I go to the gym less frequently than I intend.
What are some things you like to talk about? (in your LJ) It's not all fandom all the time but I'm pretty well entrenched in SGA, SG-1, SPN, & Torchwood. In paticular, I love Ronon and Daniel and Den and Ianto. A lot. Number 1, though, is Battlestar Galactica. My other fandoms are enhanced by the fic but all I need of BSG is what Ron Moore delivers to me on screen. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE. Every now and then I talk about space (the science of or exploration of) and I love my cat more than anything so you'll see Sally mentioned, too. Is there anything I'm missing? You all probably know what I babble on about more than I do.
What are some things you don't like to talk about? (in your LJ) With rare exceptions, religion, politics, details about my job, and the most personal aspects of my life. This is a fun place for me and I have enough serious in my off-line life. I am, however, entirely interested in BSG meta. There's no BSG essay too esoteric to interest me. Oh, and I don't talk about Bandom. Why? Because I already know way too much about RyRo and Spencer and the Way brothers for someone who's never heard any of their music.
Anything else you think I should know about you? The one and only non negotiable in my life is that I want to be a mother. I'm extremely career oriented but I would give it up if that was the only way I could be a mom. Fortunately, it's not so I plan to do both. :)
