Hi CSI. Thanks for breaking my heart. No, really.
Holy crap, that was powerful. I think it was the best "character death" episodes I've ever seen. We totally went though it with all of them - Grissom, Nick, Catherine, Greg, Dave, Doc Robbins, Molly, Brass. All of them. There was grief and action and (*sob*) Warrick's funeral.
My heart broke when Grissom said, "I'm gonna go with Warrick" and rode in the ambulance with him. All that blood! And, despite my feelings about Gil/Sara, I thought their reunion and subsequent conversation about Warrick's death was tremendously touching. I'm glad he had her there with him.
The kid thing seemed a little contrived but I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and hope that plays out a bit more. If anything, it was worth it just for that video tape of Warrick talking about Grissom.
Oh, and it was heartbreaking to watch how Grissom shook during his eulogy. I can't get over how well played it all was. I was an emotional wreck.
In conclusion, I love Gil Grissom. A LOT.
Then came Supernatural. I was sorry we didn't get to see Castiel but I'm pretty sure Dean called him "Cas" and that makes up for it.
It wasn't my favorite episode of the season but there were lines I loved:
Dean to Ruby: "Well, aren't you an obedient little bitch"
Dean about Sam: "He keeps his research under his mattress with his KY." Hahaha.
Dean to Sam: "If I didn't know you, I would want to hunt you."
Hunter dude to Sam: "Are you still a mathlete?"
I don't believe Sam is done with the hoodoo voodoo power but that's okay. I'm looking forward to the showdown.
We're nearing the end of post-season baseball and I'm officially rooting for the Dodgers. I want to see them go all the way and then I want Joe Torre to laugh in Hal Steinbrenner's face.
What else? Do any of you use Google Alerts? They're so handy! Every day an e-mail pops up in my inbox with all sorts of news about BSG (and other topics I'm too embarrassed to call out by name). :)
One last link for the day: Behind the scenes photos from the set of The Road. The photos were taken by an actor on the set. And here's the link to the movie's official site. There's nothing there yet but there will be soon.
