I'm home from a rejuvenating weekend in NY and, even though it totally feels like a Sunday night, my calendar tells me it's Monday.
I have to go to bed NOW but, first, have a meme:
1. Do you have the guts to answer these questions and re-post as The Controversial Survey?
Obviously.
2. Would you do meth if it was legal?
No.
3. Abortion: for or against it?
Unless my life was in danger, I would never have an abortion but that's my choice and I support your right to make a different choice.
4. Do you think the world would fail with a female president?
No. PS. This is a dumb question.
5. Do you believe in the death penalty?
Not under any circumstance.
6. Do you wish marijuana would be legalized already?
Yes. Please, please yes.
7. Are you for or against premarital sex?
I'm not against it, personally, and I think abstinence only sex education is absurd but I respect the right of others to choose to wait until their married to have sex.
8. Do you believe in God?
It's something I struggle with. Most often, my answer is yes.
9. Do you think same sex marriage should be legalized?
Yes.
10. Do you think it's wrong that so many Hispanics are illegally moving to the USA?
I think it's "wrong" that the system is broken and we have no (viable and reasonable) solution to fix it.
11. A twelve year old girl has a baby, should she keep it?
Who the hell am I to decide? What is the context of the pregnancy? What kind of support system does she have? I have no clue what I'd do if it was my child.
12. Should the alcohol age be lowered to eighteen?
No.
13. Should the war in Iraq be called off?
This should be called the "simplification meme." That's not a yes or no question. Yes, we need to get out. No, it's not that simple.
14. Assisted suicide is illegal: do you agree?
No.
15. Do you believe in spanking your children?
No.
16. Would you burn an American flag for a million dollars?
Yes. I'd also burn an American flag in protest.
17. Who do you think would make a better president? McCain or Obama?
Obama.
18. Are you afraid others will judge you from reading some of your answers?
No.
