Ahhhhhhhhhh!

I seriously have to calm down to type this all out. *breath in* *breath out*

Joey Fatone gave me tour of back stage, the green room and the stage tonight.

No fucking joke.

As I said in an earlier entry, I had front row seats tonight. The show was great. Merle and Christina were new as Joanne and Maureen and they were fantastic. I also saw Justin as Angel b/c Jai was out and I was pleasantly surprised. But I know that this isn't what most of you want to hear about.

After the show, Mark Richard Ford (Collins) told everyone about the items they are selling to raise money for Equity Fights AIDS and a Breast Cancer center. They he said they would auction off a tour of the stage from Joey.

I was like a woman possessed. The bidding got higher and higher and, by the time it broke $200, another woman and I were in it for the long haul. I got up to $260 and when she hit $275, Joey said he'd give it to both of us. Ahhhhhhhhhh!

We went back stage to pay. And, yes, I am poor. My credit card hates me. But, ahhhhhhhh!

So, Joey came down, all changed, and signed his handkerchief to me. (With my name and all.) He gave the other woman a new one and I got the wrinkled, sweaty one he'd been using all night. I think I like mine better. *grin*

Ahhhhhhhhhh!

So Joey takes us downstairs to show us the green room where they hang out before the show. He took us back stage and shows us where the props are stored. He showed us all of the stage entrances and exits. And then we went on the fucking stage. I was on stage at the Nederlander Theater with Joey Fatone.

What did we talk about this whole time?

Well, the other woman had worked at Disney in Orland so we spoke about that for a bit. We talked about how Joey always wanted to be in Rent or Beauty & the Beast. I told him he made a smart choice. Beauty and the Beast?

We talked about the show I was at when the telephone cued instead of the motorcycle sound effect and how Joey added his "Vroom. Vroom."

We talked about the difference between performing 8 Broadway shows a week and touring with 'Nsync. He said that this is harder on his vocal cords. I asked if he is dead by the Sunday night after four shows in two days and he said, "Yes, but it doesn't help that I go out every fucking night."

Yeah. The kid cursed a lot. It was fucking great.

Oh yeah. At one point someone handed me a playbill signed by the entire cast. Weeeeeee!

So we finished the tour and Joey asked if either of us had a camera and wanted a picture. I did. *big grin* So Pete, his driver, took a picture of us back stage. If it comes out, it will be adorable. Then I asked him to sign a playbill with his full name and he said, "What? You don't like my chicken scratch?" So he signed it to me. Love, Joey Fatone."

Ahhhhhhhh! So that was it. He thanked us for our donation. I thanked him for everything. I successfully fought the urge to ask him to tell JC how pretty I think he is. And then I left.

Ahhhhhhhh! I am fucking freaking out. I'm exhausted. Excited. Elated. And I am not sure if any night at Rent will ever compare.

Can you believe this. One more time. All together. With soul. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!
