That's it. Except that my apartment is a disaster with my roommate moving out and me moving to the other bedroom. The true test of my strength will be if I make it November 2nd. I can't even process all of the comings and goings what with my trip to PA on Tuesday and Detroit on Wednesday and Thursday and a roommate moving out and a roommate moving in and me moving rooms and weekend guests arriving on Thursday night. But, hey, I survive and then get a new JC video on 11/3, right? Right.
It's a nice quiet day today. Good music. Time to complete projects. Can't ask for much more.

I'm pretty sure that I rec this story often. But I read it even more often than I rec it. It's probably my favorite popslash story. The words and the imagery swallow me whole. The emotion of it all is huge and real and the story always makes me feel. I love it deeply.

Joey doesn't say anything but his hands are flat against the windows on either side of JC's head, and his breath fans out over JC's cheek, damp and warm. JC shivers, and Joey presses closer and one hand comes down to JC's jaw and stays there. He moves slow, so slow, and JC has time to think about it, how easy it would be to duck his head and misunderstand and laugh like Joey was teasing, but Joey isn't teasing and JC, God, he really doesn't want him to be. He can't let him be.
If a story could be a song, this would be it.

Lovely, lovely dinner with eleanor_lavish. EL is kind and charming and a whole lot of fun to talk to/drink with. Plus, we're mutual enablers and, after a trip to the Union Square Virgin Megastore, I'm the proud owner of Maroon 5 (Songs About Jane), Joe Firstman (The War of Women), and the Senorita single. I wanted the RYB and CMAR singles, too, but I had to draw the line somewhere. I bought 9 albums in the past 6 days. At some point, I've got to cut it off. Though, EL and I decided that we'll buy new music each time we get together.
Elizabeth Smart is on Dateline. I still think it's amazing that she's alive and back at home.
Also. I understand that JC first met Joey at his apartment complex in FL. I'm so easily entertained. I'm also so enamored with the idea of JC sitting at home on his computer answering these silly/inane questions.
EDIT: My roommate is packing up. I have nothing. I don't own any plates. Or sharp knives. Our step-stool is gone. And the only mug left is "JoeC- A Man and His Pussycat." I really hope the new roommate brings stuff with her.
