It's performance evaluation and merit increase time. If I want to get technical, I need to finish all of my evaluations by the end of the day today. It's probably not going to happen. As tedious as it is, I want to be thorough and do it right, especially since I have to use the reviews to back up my decisions about salary increases. I have a feeling that I'm going to have to print out the blank forms and do my reviews longhand at the pool in Florida.

I didn't watch the weather this morning so I was a bit surprised to walk out my door into a snow storm. Had they been predicting this for a while? It's a mess out there.

Instead of the weather, I watched a portion of the 7am repeat of yesterday's TRL. (Is JC still off the countdown? I missed the beginning.) They premiered the "Toxic" video and I'm still not feeling it but I did love how Britney diverted questions about her marriage..."You know, I do have a new video for "Toxic." They had to ask. She had to hedge. It was very well choreographed.

And today is RotK day! I think my enthusiasm is mostly based in my fear that, if I wait much longer, someone will spill an important spoiler. That would be tragical.

[livejournal.com profile] valiumbitch gets full credit for saving me from this mind numbing haze of reviews. I am completely ill-equipped to handle anything of an administrative nature. Paperwork is not in my skill set. But at least I don't have to alphabetize. That's when I'm at my most pitiful.

And, somewhat related, once again someone stole my pen. It's only a blue Papermate med. pt. pen but it's mine and I like the way it writes and I'm extremely possessive when it comes to office supplies. I don't quite understand the attachment to office supplies but I accept it and respect it. Mine.

Also...the only thing I've ever reaseached for fic were certain locations in Paris which mostly included dragging Lex around the city to find a specific hotel. Hands on research...if I could do that all the time my next fic would be set in Fiji.
RotK!

I can hardly believe what I would have missed out on if I hadn't bothered to see these movies. Sometimes there's hype and fanaticism for a reason... )

I had less to say than I thought. I need to process it all and then see the movies again. And I still have DVD extras to look forward to. [livejournal.com profile] eleanor_lavish: We can make plans to meet up next week so I can return your DVD's. Thanks again!

There were also some great movie trailers )

Now I need to finish packing because I've got to be up in 5 1/2 hours for my flight to Florida. Back on Sunday. I'm hopeful that my flights will be safe and smooth. Have a good weekend!
